colliding sprites

is there a simple 1 or 2 line solution for sprite collision detection. I'm new to using sprites (as you can tell) and it seems like a vital thing like this would need to be simple, as it is in almost every game. Oh, and if you are using spritepath, does clicking the sprite still work?
