Hosting game files

A quick suggestion:

I think it would be really nice if this site, with its neat new design, actually hosted the games in its game database rather than giving links to mediafire. It would give these games a better, less spam-ridden, and stabler home, and would no doubt allow them to make it into the Web Archive.

Good idea. Someone should do that...

Hmm. I should ask Ghost if I can make more moderators to handle menial tasks...

I've been using my google sites storage space, you have a good amount of free space that way. I just have to log in and go to the management page and attach files... Maybe it's not as super convenient like Mediafire but it sure won't delete files. I was thinking about setting up a page either there or asking about GMG hosting...

Here's an idea!

Submit Content could be a sub forum! Where people submit content, admins can add it to the site. That way all admins see it and it's not being sent to Ghost's email...

Sorry, that was a tad off topic.

As for hosting, if Ghost will allow I can loose the restrictions on forum attachments and to upload a game, you'd just attach it to a post. It'd stay on the GMG forever, which means it'd also be easier to add it to the main site.

I like this.  It reminds me of the golden days of GM, back in the 90's, when the forums and the games were on AOL.  All of the games were kept in 2 libraries, which could be sorted by name or by date of upload.  It's nice to have everything in one place, and to know that things will always be there.

Awesome! I'll go ahead and do this.

Hey Ghost, if you're reading this just PM me if you think it's a bad idea. Or well... if you don't read this and it's too late... you can just yell at me later.

Edit: It has been done...

Wait a sec, Submit Content and Suggestions are actually very similar. Suggestions is for changes on the GMG and Submit Content is for new stuff, perhaps suggestions should be a sub forum in Submit Content?

No that sounds confusing, they're still different. But i suppose it's a matter of opinion.
