i did some stat balanceing and bug fixes. this is a solid engine and easy to use, i think it would be fun to add levels and more equipment

This game is awesome! I love how you can watch all the monster fight each other.

The detail is great, sounds, you got full paper dolling, monster corpses and even set up the arena to show the King watch the dueling! I love it.

This game should definitely get more levels and a larger storyline.

And I'd be glad to help you with editing, like spelling and punctuation and whatnot, so it looks good and professional.

EDIT: In trying this again I found it difficult to progress. Does it get harder based on the number of battles? Because it should be based on your skill level.

hmmmm.... group. project? maybe?

i would like to convert nav to v7 and crop the visible area down to reduce slow-down and make large levels to explore. maybe give it the gm vs sc theme. i like how the character wears the equipment you buy, would anyone want to design more equipment? it should be pretty easy sinse its just pixel work

it does get harder. it was so easy before. the best thing to buy is potions. its best to use guerrilla tactics, attack then retreat during the attack delay. also constantly use charge attacks

That's a fantastic idea! I can test play with a passion and maybe help a little here and there.

It can still be harder it should just be based on your experience points, because it seems to just get harder with each battle whether you screw up and don't get any gold or not. That means you can fall behind the game...
Unless I'm mistaken and it IS programmed different from this.

thats the object of the game, kind of like gauntlet. destroy the four caves that spawn enemies to beat the level, and you get a money bonus and chests respawn

Eq if it's based on the number of bouts then if you get KO'd you fall behind the game and that just... kind of dumb. You could get stuck with a save file where there's no way to win.
I'm telling you you gotta make it based on total XP earned.

the real-time rpg engine progresses based on exp, but gladiator champion doesnt cause even if you fall behind you can still beat an enemy or two and they give much more money and exp so i thought it balances out, but i'll change it back if its unplayable. you have to use some stratagy and let enemies fight each other, you want to finish the match alive so you get all your winnings cause if you die your winnings are cut in half

Okay, okay, so I was gonna try playing it more because I noticed how you can just wait for enemies to kill each other...
All this time I just was trying to ask you what makes it progress. Also I may or may not have forgotten that it takes a while to heal before entering the arena a couple times.
