Yus! I have used Flash because they have it at school. I even made an action script thing where i could make a guy move and jump....
And more recently an animation of a guy trying to cross a hole in the ground. ;D
And don't forget Pencil!

Familiar, yes.

Capable of doing anything worthwhile, no.

Vector graphics are pretty awesome. Extremely low file size and loss-less quality no matter how much you scale.

Inkscape is a free and amazing tool to create vector graphics. I'm using it to remake all my balloon pop graphics.

That may look like just any orginary guy with a gun but this guy with a gun can be scaled to any size and still look good.

Still have your artwork? You should post it up here.

Vector art is so easy, so much easier than pixeling. I bet you could make excellent quality graphics for your games.

Very cool Gan! I'll look into this program.
However whether you use vectors really depends a lot on the style you want.

EDIT:

Inkscape requires Apple's X11, which is, etc, etc...
And apparently I need the installation DVD.
Maybe later. :/

I actually have Inkscape for my Windows machine, but haven't done much in depth with it.  It seems like a very good program and it eliminates the need for shelling out huge bucks for Photoshop.

Vector is really cool in a lot of ways. That said, there's a certain level of complexity where vector becomes less efficient than traditional pixel art, like when you get into the realm of complex layered effects (trying to do soft, blurry clouds for example).

I found out that Photoshop can make vector art, I don't know how it compares to Inkscape but at least I have a way to do it.
