Hacked?
« on: January 27, 2009, 07:19:30 PM »
I logged on to facebook and was browsing, when all of a sudden my internet went to a "Bad" site. Thinking I clicked an ad I pressed back, but after 5 seconds it happened again. I restarted my computer and it stopped, but now I'm afraid. What should I do?

return to the "bad" site?

I would suggest not going on facebook or if it happens again taking your computer to a Mac store. Or not listening to a 12 year old. What browser you using?

One time on my pc, 65 web browsers suddenly opened. I unplugged my ethernet cord and it stopped.

I would say to enable firewalls, tell your parents(be truthful) and get some anti-virus/protector program.

I have firewalls, but it wasn't like I was looking for it, it just was like BAM. I have iAntivirus, and it came up with nothing. So I am very confused. Ā

EDIT: Gan, you make sound like I was on the site to begin with, I wasn't I was on face book when I was redirected all of a sudden

You weren't hacked, facebook was. It's a popular pastime of bored hackers to trick social networking sites into sending their users to "bad" (lol) sites.

At least, thats usually what happened.

Here's a suggestion go to Safari preferences and turn on "Block pop-up windows"
I must be dreaming (wake up me wake up) How could this have happened. Tireas' cry when he found his computer fallen over in his chair with it's screen shattered.
