Metal Gear Solid 4: UGH. DO I NEAD A REASON. DO IT. NOW.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction: Classic, extreme action/platforming goodness. Good story too. I've been a fan of the series since the start, and IMO this is the best entry.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: The most epic Indiana Jones/Bourne/National Treasure/Tomb Raider style game ever created. It's got some set pieces to make Hollywood jealous. Heck, the whole game is a set piece. Buy it too.

Wipeout HD: PSN available, and at $20, its a steal. If you have a PSN card, or a credit card, then you must get this. So. Much. Fun.

Super Stardust HD: Also PSN. Buy this for amazing arcade action. Cheap, too.

MGS4, want want want want holyshit want. I love the Metal Gear Solid series. MGS4 was the whole reason I bought a PS3 in the first place, but I've decided to put off buying it until I have an HDTV (soon). I watched my step-brother play it a bit on his SDTV and I couldn't see the words at all.

Drake: Yeah, looks pretty cool. I would buy it if I didn't already watch my step-brother do the end of the game, spoiling the whole story. D;

Rachet and Clank: Mm, never really played those games. I think I'd want to try some of the older ones before I got this newest one.

My parents have a big HDTV upstairs with 5.1 Surround sound. We're getting another one for upstairs soon (month or so) so the one we have upstairs (and the surround) is going downstairs.

That means I can play my PS3 in HD at 1080i. (Not 1080P, but whatevah) It will rock, and give me a reason to play through all the games I've beaten again.
