advice on imac

im still looking for a new intel imac and i stumbled across this, it sounds like just a power supply problem, i could probly fix it easily, that is,  IF its a power supply problem. is there any other way to be sure? wheres mike, he'd know

I'm not an expert but 250 looks like a deal!

If you can fix it, bam that's a $1000 computer. If you can't, I'm sure that the iMac could be sold for parts much more than $250.

I had an iMac for 2 years and the one thing that irked me was the lack of portability. I recently got an early 2008 MacBook Pro for Christmas and it's amazing! Faster than my iMac and I can take it anywhere. Just want to advise you, keep an eye for good laptop deals. I believe the MBP was $500.

I had an imac for 7 years or so, and the only thing wrong with it was the fan. It was run automaticly so you it didn't turn on all the time. I could have cooked an egg on the top of the moniter. I got a fan-control program which solved the problem entirely.

i was looking at the newer imacs (i3,i5,i7s) and i guess they dont even have a bus speed anymore? its measured in GT's now, lol, whatever that is.
