Yeah, I gained like 10 gigs of space and now I can finally run all the stuff that Gan writes.
You did not gain that much space. Snow Leopard considers 1 KB to be 1,000 bytes (base 10), while all previous versions of the Mac OS, as well as every other OS in the world, considers 1 KB to be 1,024 bytes (base 2).
While you may have saved some space, as Snow Leopard does not have any PPC code, I doubt you saved 10 GB of actual space.
Unfortunately, Apple's decision to screw up file sizes in Snow Leopard will only lead to confusion such as yours. For example, RAM (memory) is still measured in base 2.
