Not in the least. It's made by the geniuses up in Google HQ. I'm just lovin on it.
I've done a lot of work in Javascript. Maintaining big projects can be hard. Google Dart makes web applications so much easier, you don't have to test it to see bugs. It tells you about them before hand. Code is also a lot prettier.
When you run your Google Dart web app in a browser, the dart converted javascript runs faster than if you natively coded it in Javascript.
You code faster, you debug faster, your application is faster.
