Rapping Robot???
« on: August 15, 2014, 01:11:15 AM »
So, like, I've been thinking maybe I should invent a robot that freestyles. Like, it uses a complex, but ultimately mad-libs-like process to procedurally  generate raps, then rap them with some sort of computer voice. And its face could be an audio visualizer and two eyes, and it could be on a CRT on a cart, that gets wheeled into various musical establishments.

It's basically the best idea ever.

Sounds easy enough. I guess a good place to start would be getting a text dictionary that you can read into your program, then research how raps are set up. Cause there's usually a rhyming word every sentence you could make an algorithm to auto generated rhyming sentences. Then have it play through the Mac's speakers with the voice synthesizers.

Then just add decorations and put it on a cart.

OK first, I think it's a great idea, and second, I'm gonna drop yet another link because this comic is badass.
