The Elder Scrolls

Anyone here play any of the Elder Scrolls games? I'm gonna give Oblivion a try, as the Game of the Year Edition (with all the expansions) is only $25 on Steam.

I'll let you know what I think, but I'm pretty sure that they're awesome. I really love the open world aspect of it, how the NPCs act on their own. The NPCs in Oblivion and Skyrim fight on their own, eat, sleep, and do all sorts of other things without you even getting involved. You can be walking down the road and run into a group of people fighting a giant. The coolest thing is the massive map and how the NPCs act as though you aren't the only thing in the world.

Haven't played any of them. But maybe I'll get Oblivion or I would if I had a computer that it would run on. Personally, I'm waiting on the official release of Starbound.

Oblivion is awesome :) I played it to death before my PS3 broke. I love the immersiveness too.

I've wanted to play Skyrim since I saw its trailer, but I don't want to buy all the DLC separately, so I think I'll wait until they release the Game of the Year edition (or a Steam Sale. Can't pass up a Steam Sale)

I think I'll play Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind as well. I just need DOSBox for the first two, and Morrowind is on Steam

I've decided not to blow any more money on games for a while, since I still have a Crapton of unplayed stuff from the Humble Bundle deals (so epic) and Steam sales. Maybe when I've got a job of some kind...

I still play TF2 some because It's got replay value in constantly honing your skills and/or playing different classes. In fact I'm finding that I'm getting more into really challenging games, hence why I was playing Dwarf Fortress for a while, and Super Meat Boy and Dustforce.

So yeah I haven't had the chance to buy a PS3 and an XBox and a gaming PC but at least I have lots of games to play if I want to.

Oblivion is a good game.  My favorite part was the Shivering Isles DLC.
