Does anybody here know about hardware? I have a friends that's starting one of those cheap to make handhelds open to indy developers.

He needs someone who knows about hardware, this is his forum http://opoco.freeforums.org/index.php
His name is adeko.

p.s. The project is just starting.

Sounds like quite a task. Sounds like he'll need engineers and programmers.

He can buy all the necessary chips but... then there's the process of arranging them inside the console, hooking and soldering(making a case for the console). Then there needs to be code that runs the games for the console.

It sounds like a heck of a lot of work. I'm no expert but I have doubts in how plausible his goal is.

pretty much. he was originally in the nD forum, thats where I met him. In my opinion his goal is as plausible as the nD. If he can get some help that is.

I believe he's going to use ARM linux for the OS.
