I started using a Mac in 1984 when my older brother was required to buy one upon entering Drexel University in Philadelphia. His class was the first class there required to have a computer and it had to be the new Macintosh that wasn't even out yet. They were supposed to have it at the beginning of the school year in September 1983, but Apple was behind schedule and didn't release the 128k Mac until January 1984. Apple had a contract with the school, so they had to send them a bunch as soon as they were available. We got one of the first 128k Macs made. I still have some old MacPaint and MacWrite files I made from 1984. I've been using Macs ever since.

Steve had a legendary team and trained them to exceptional standards.

Apple can continue on without Steve, as each of the old team contain at least a fragment of Steve's talents.
Jonny Ive - Intense Design Skills and Charisma
Phil Schiller - Amazing Internal Work
Tim Cook - Leadership skills and Product Management

Steve left a hole in apple, or perhaps, a bite. One that will take someone extraordinary to fill. Apple will continue on, they've learned enough to lead themselves but it won't be as steady as if Steve were here.

I've been looking at photos of Jobs, and noticing for the first time just how drastically his body had deteriorated in the past few years.  He was a little bit fat in 2003, but he was as thin as a skeleton when he resigned from Apple a couple of months ago.  I had no idea how severe his condition was until he died yesterday.  I feel so bad.  Praying for his family.

My first Mac was a Power Mac 6500, with a 225 MHz PowerPC processor and 32 MB RAM.  With that machine, I discovered GameMaker, and I became involved in the GM community on AOL.  Those are some of the best memories I have of my childhood.  Because of that, I am now studying to become a professional programmer.  If it weren't for that Mac, I don't know what I'd be doing today.
