Glad you like it. I was going for a bit more of a Front Bottoms/Mountain Goats feel on this one, but I don't know how well that came across. Low-fi is nice and all, but I should really buy a new mic.

I suppose I should have given you guys the lyrics. Hang on a moment, I'll post them (they're on my phone).

As I believe I've mentioned before, my mic is gone, but I recorded a quick iPhone demo of a song I wrote called Marie. The vocals come through... less than ideally, but I had to do it in one take, because iPhone, and with a crappy mic, because, well, iPhone. A 4S, that is. I'm sure the new ones have better microphones, but I don't know.

I wrote some elevator music for the lols. I must admit, it was a bit too easy to write. Pentatonic scale + a few barre chords, and this is what you get. Doesn't really have an ending because you're supposed to loop it indefinitely.

I post it all over the place. Send it to my friends, put it on by bandcamp, etc.

I'm getting pretty good at accordion. One of the added benefits of playing accordion is that I will always, always, be able to win a left-handed arm wrestle. It's a great instrument and everyone should learn it.

I'm sorry. Unfortunately, I am unable to "make advice you." But, given that I see this irrelevant post here, I would wager you don't really need much help "mass posting on forums, blogs and social networks."

For future reference, announcements go in "announcements," and trash goes in "trash talk."

How Can I Be Sure That Wales Exists?
Existential Crisis for Kids

One time in second grade geography, my teacher told the class that there was a country near England called Wales.

I wasn’t so convinced.

How can I be sure that Wales exists?

I’ve never been there. What reason do I have to believe that there is a country called Wales?

Whales definitely exist. My mom took me whale watching once. We went out on a boat, and saw real, actual, living whales.

But how can I be sure that Wales exists?

I’m fairly certain that the rest of the United Kingdom exists. My great aunt lives in Scotland. We don’t talk very often, because she’s hard to understand. My dad says she’s going “senile” (whatever that means), but my mom says that all Scots are like that.

Quite a lot of television comes from Britain.

And Ireland must exist, because my dad is always grouchy after Saint Patrick’s day.

But how can I be sure that Wales exists?

Frankly, I’m not entirely sure of my own existence, or at least the existence of other people. Sometimes I’m awake all night wondering whether I’m the only sentient being, and whether everything else was created just for me. I also wonder whether life is just a dream, and whether I’ll wake up the next morning with no recollection of previous events and ponderings over the corporeality of a small European nation by the sea.

But I know that in the end, I must exist. My parents have a piece of paper that says so.

Wales does not have a piece of paper.

How can I be sure wales exists?

To this day, I have not been to Wales, and I’m still not entirely sure whether it’s real. But I know that most of the other things I learned in second grade turned out to be true (except for the five senses. I learned that was wrong on the day I smelled ghosts in a haunted house).

But I guess the moral of the story is that you can’t always trust adults, and that sometimes it’s better to discover things for yourself. Except whether you should stick a fork in an outlet, or whether you should microwave the fish, or whether you should eat grass in the park. You should probably trust your parents on those things.

I don't know if any of you have the artistic ability/know anyone interested, but I'm just looking around. I can't draw at all, but I have a distinct creative vision.

I've been told this is some quality work, and needs to be shared.

I just got the accordion today, btw. It's a pretty nice one. Made in Italy, feels almost new. Has very good compression, etc. I'm getting pretty good at it, but that song just uses the right side of it.

I could make that into a loop for a game if anybody wanted. It should loop alright on its own, but I could make some changes.  :P

Here's just a little song I made in case you ever need to make an '80s action film. I'm pretty sure I stole all of the tracks from something or other, but it sounds cool so whatever.

EDIT: I finished up this song into something somewhat like the songs on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon's soundtrack. I'm actually moderately proud of this. It sounds like a crappy MIDI, yeah, but it's supposed to sound like '80s synth, so I'm not far off.
