GabrielCA: Why is it that the QotM invariably concerns how Windows sucks? Perhaps you could be a little more creative. 
Gandolf: I agree. We need to think of more creative ways to say "Windows sucks". Any suggestions?

I've taken a few PHP courses in my day, so I could probably figure out what's going on. You could email/private message me the relevant code so that nobody steals Tim's hard work. ;D

Huh. Maybe /cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi. It looks like the base board code was edited in order to add extra cells to the HTML table which holds the date and the notification of private messages. So now the table holds an ad as well as the quote of the month.

I'm guessing that the quote of the month is not retrieved from the database or anything like that; it's probably just hard-coded into whatever file it's in. I could be wrong about that.

This is because we vote for the funniest post in the month the voting takes place. For example, at the end of October, Gnome's "In soviet Russia, Objective-C Regulate you!" post was the funniest post of the month (of October), so we display it all throughout November.

In other words: at the end of November we display the funniest quote of November, and so on.

Xiphos' quote is good too, though, says a lot with very little space. ;D
