Im making a new text adventure called Myth and Magic. :) I will post the game when finished. It has combat and walking but its in paragraph text. 8)

Post by: Johna100 on June 04, 2020, 11:44:46 PM: New name for this game is going to be Forgotten Lands. I have finally made progress on the game. I have a text grid for the land and a simple battle system. It will have skills and items. Currently Im making randomly generated quests that have a self contained story apart from the other random generated quests. so technically you could have like 890 quests in one game. Each game-play will have its own unique random quests.

Post by: Johna100 on July 02, 2020, 07:05:41 AM: I have been slowly working on this game on and off. Bit by bit. I have basic monster interaction and i might make procedurally generated towns next. I also want to have skill/spell books with randomly generated names and effects.

I coded the battle system to be more interactive. The player and monsters can now die. Made towns. More creatures. I made items and weapons, armor that you use and equip. More info the player can view. You can search the tile your on for items. I coded a few other bug fixes and extra code to make it all work.
There is a problem where a non existent monster attacks you sometimes but I think I know how to fix it. Im going to add a way to upgrade stats after a battle and learn skills. Also i still need to make the spell books. I also want to make a way the player can look at objects and read its name.

Im combine all the previous ideas from the above posts into this 3d game. Like, text displaying some things, dnd or middle-ages style world, grid like my rouge like games but 3d.
