I am pleased. It means the developers will have a fire put under them to release stuff faster.

I just want them to finish that official modding API, so that any random person can set up a server with a ton of random mods and whoever joins downloads all of them automagically and there's a bunch of random BS going on that you don't understand on all the servers and it's just like Blockland! :D [/sarcasm]

But seriously, if they can set it up so that mods don't have to get deprecated with new versions of the game anymore, I'll be happy.

Definitely agree. They need to recode Minecraft in C++ and make a super awesome modding API with easily installable plugins.
