Title: The GMG and IE
Post by: Mystor on November 11, 2008, 09:21:21 AM
I have recently obtained a new computer with windows vista and have therefore been browsing through new browsers:
ATM my favourite is Chrome but Chrome does not yet support Silverlight :(
Because I am interested in silverlight development I was forced to choose IE8 or FireFox (Safari is so ugly in vista that it was out of the question.)
Due to a habit I obtained from having a mac, I usually browse the internet in a non-maximized window, and Firefox looks extremely ugly when the transparent borders are allowed.
So I am using IE8.
The only thing that I would like to tell you guys is that the GMG does render in IE8... Except for the forum.
The forum starts after the menus are over and the text in the forum does not wrap, I will post a screen if you would like it.

Mist (I hope that chrome gets silverlight support soon :))

Soory for Double Posting...
I don't know how the pages are aligned, but I would use an absolute positioned DIV to move the forum into the right position.

If you would like, I can test it for you.

This happens to me everytime I get on IE on my pc. Never really wondered about it, only one thought comes across my mind when I see it...

Just use Firefox... I've been trying to find the bug forever and never did.

Cool

I haven't been using IE in a while, I am addicted to chrome's awesomeness.
