Title: POPFIELD?
Post by: Zoo on June 17, 2011, 09:40:24 PM
Why have I never heard of this? It's a great command. Why isn't it in the scripting language reference? It's much easier than "Alert"

Heh, oops. I looked for it last night and couldn't find it. So it does exist, but it's still a really great command. I think less people use it for dialogue then alert or print.

Yeah, it's a good one alright. I think I used it for dialogue in Epicus. :)

That is a cool command. If only you could control where it was on the screen. Then it could appear by the speaker.
I think I'll use this command more often now. I never really tried it.

This is a good command, but not many games use it.  It's way cleaner looking than using a text field to print dialogue.  I agree with Kurt that being able to define the placement of the text would really improve things.
