I have the gnome patch no idea why though. I wasn't a member when quest of magic came out. Hold on

The Gnome patch was originally an easter egg awarded to anyone who registered an account on the Roguesoft Forums (http://z11.invisionfree.com/Roguesoft/index.php?s=8e604ef9251b4be3994d0a883debe1f9&act=idx) within the first three days of the game's release, but it was later included in a substantial update. In addition to the Gnome patch the original release also included "A Note to Developers"; an encouraging memorandum to all aspiring game designers. It has never been packaged with a subsequent release.
