I just realized that I forgot to tell you about my latest game:

lol! You must take a screenshot the next time you get to level 21!

I just position the player in a corner and move the curser out of the game's detectable area. Then, when the herd is just about to collide with the player I move the mouse back into the detectable area but in the opposite corner. Simple yet effective. :) (well, judging by my score, not too effective ;) )

That is a lot.

In testing I only got to level 18.

And that was with being able to kill twice as many squares...
