It came out the day you posted this, and it rules.

Had you played it before? I heard there's a Master Quest that makes the game harder to beat.

I had played the N64 version, but I hadn't beaten it. I only beat the first 3 dungeons, lol. I never was very good at Zelda games. But now I'm on the fire temple, so I guess I'm farther than I was on the old one. I just happened to be on a long trip when the game came out, so I had a lot of play it.

Well good luck! You really need to try it with no walkthroughs but no one will blame you if you get stuck on the Water Temple for a while.
It's a great game. :3

I got through the water temple without a walkthrough, or using the shiekah stone (I don't remember if that's in the old one, but it's a stone that gives you hints) in 2 days. I didn't get stuck once. I don't see what the big deal is. Both the fire and forest temples were harder. I've heard from everyone that it's insanely difficult. Maybe they made it easier for the 3DS version or something.

I think a lot of it probably isn't that bad with puzzles but there's a ton of backtracking and they made a lot of hidden stuff so you have to scour the place whenever the water level changes. I missed that one secret block and another room under a floating block. You need to have a good sense of direction and make mental notes of things you see. >.<
And as far as I know maps, puzzles and the placement of objects are exactly the same.

Yeah, for the first 3 dungeons at least.
