check this out, real-time gameplay opens a whole new rhelm of ideas and possibilities, and its easier to work with than the turn based version. i added a fire spell that damages enemies repeatedly as long as they are on the fire, and an ice spell that freezes enemies for a period of time so you can attack them, the enemies spawn from 4 caves that you have to destroy. also you can make your character faster by purchasing a speed medalion at the item shop. the basic movement and attacking of the player and enemies is pretty simple but the spells really bulk up the code. i could also add a spell that summons a golem that fights enemies with you, its like diablo. but personally i like turn based enemy encounter battles in my games so i dont think ill expand on this

Cool, which version of SC do I need to open it?
-
Yeah same here I tried to run it and SC gave the standard "stability may decrease" error and quit.
-
No problems here, using SC v2.0b2.
And it's cool. I really really really have to finish a game in SC.

Wow, awesome stuff! I love the idea of off screen activity, and real time entities really give life to the world.

I did something like this a long time ago in GM. I realize now using objects would make this hilariously easy.

Yeah, OOP is great.
Awesome update Eq! I'd love to see a full fledged game with it. :)
