Obligatory "Where the $#^& is everyone?" thead
« on: May 12, 2011, 10:24:25 PM »
Been quiet... too quiet.

Whenever it takes several days to get a thread response I get kinda worried.

So uh... what's everyone's plans for  summer?

I scored a trip to the Galapagos islands and I super excited. Also running camp or something.

Ah, Sweet! A running camp sounds absolutely delightful.

It is quiet here. Only whispers penetrating the desolate silence.
I still check the forums 5+ times a day and help some people out with coding questions...
Though most assuredly, when it's all too quite, you know something big's brewing.

I finished my senior year of high school yesterday. Gonna be working for minimum wage as a programmer at Lead Horse Technologies during the Summer. Go to church camp. Then go to college.

I just graduated from technical college this week.  I'm currently working part time as a web developer, but soon I will probably find a full-time job and move out of my parent's house.   :D

Other than that, no big plans.  Since I only work part time I still have plenty of time to work in SilverCreator.  I will also be releasing my personal website soon, since having a functional, real-world site looks pretty good on your resume.   ;)

Currently finishing off another semester with exams coming up. Hence my being too busy to check daily.

I'm always still lurking however...

Well, I'm still right here in Albuquerque, Gnome.

And just like before I'm working on Light Maze... I'll post the best stuff from Animation class as soon as I can, too, guys!
But more important now is the last 2 weeks of school. And AP English is tough. :-/

But hey, then it's Summer! And I'm sure things will pick up in the Summer.

Oh, and
congrats @Gan and Charlo!
I'm still a Junior, got one more year left of High School to decide what to do afterwards. 8)

I've been thinking of Elathondréoth lately. I'd love to pick up where I left off with the JavaScript engine for this.

Cool... Browser based RPGs by silverwind! That'd be awesome!

I've been experimenting with the HTML5 canvas actually.  An RPG wouldn't be too hard, with AJAX for saving to a database and stuff.  Right now I just have pong, and I haven't touched it for a while.

An RPG would also technically be possible just using a table.  If I didn't have so many projects I might try it out.

To my shame I've barely glanced at HTML5 and all the awesome new functions. I wrote a simple engine a couple of years back just using div and img elements, featuring a grid nav and realtime NPCs, but it was extremely messy. I started writing it from scratch a few moths back though, as well as a GM-like scripting language to power it. I'll get back to it someday. :)

Whew, what the hell have I been doing? Not much programming, that's for sure... I had APs two weeks ago and got slammed by tests in my non-AP classes last week, but now I think I'm finally done with the real work of junior year... I've got final projects/ papers in computer science, history, and english but those are fun compared to AP crap.

I've been spending a lot of time with my girlfriend... friday was prom, which was fun for what it was. My dad just moved into a new house, which I'm at right now.

I'm going to be really busy over the summer, I'm teaching game programming at this program my school runs over the summer, which should take care of all my community service requirements :D, going to Romania for two weeks for some reason, and getting a drivers license finally.

Oh yeah and my final project for computer science is writing a game for Android in Java, which should be fun :)

Thinking about making my next English project interactive. But it's probably going to be on Huckleberry Finn.
The first thing that came to mind was a parody of Oregon Trail/Amazon Trail, where you're floating down the river on a raft. Problem is how much time that can take.
